Frequently Asked
Questions

How do I know I need therapy?

Sometimes in life, we feel like we get stuck. Or, we have a problem in life that we feel we just can't figure out how to the answer to it. During these times, it can be very helpful to seek therapy. Therapy is extremely beneficial in providing you support during the times you feel alone, stressed, or just plain confused. It can also be helpful when there are family problems that you just can't seem to work out on your own. Whatever your problem, New Leaf Therapeutics & Consulting seeks to provide culturally sensitive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and compassionate care.

What is the difference between therapy and talking to a friend?

Therapists are professionally trained to help individuals and families cope with various life difficulties. While a friend can be helpful to vent to, therapists come from an objective and confidential stance that can help you walkthrough difficult topics and gain different perspectives that your friends may not be able to. Additionally, therapists have a wealth of resources they can share and skills they can teach that are specially catered to whatever problem you or your family is facing.

What are the fees for services?

We accept both insurance and private pay as we believe this allows flexibility and aids us in being able to provide services for more clients. All insurance is handled by the biller Headway. While some of our therapists accept insurance, others offer therapy on a sliding scale basis. Contact us today with any questions about payment options.

What are the practice's hours?

Our therapists offer a wide range of hours to fit you and/or your family's busy schedules. Most of our sessions are offered during weekdays from 10am-6pm though some therapists may offer later appointments slots or times on the weekend.
